The Ray-E Foundation champions community, unity, compassion, integrity, and responsibility. We serve our community through cultural, educational, recreational, and spiritual activities and programs.

We strongly believe in the power of connectivity. True compassion, just like Mississippi red clay, is hard to rub off once it’s touched someone. Our foundation wants to make sure that no one is left without opportunity and means to strive for success.

Simply put, we exist to engage, empower, & serve.

Built on a legacy of compassion, connection, and community, the Ray-E Smith Foundation enriches individuals and enlivens the collective through seasonal events, year-round programs, and reliable resources. We honor the activist spirit of Marian A. Hand, Reverend Smith’s mother, whose impact in our community inspires us to keep reaching out and touching lives. Like the mighty river, the Ray E. foundation is a living, moving collective of community activists who seek to bring life, connection, and vitality to all we encounter.
